Summer Course of chamber music -
application information
There is still time for applications.
We are recognised as one of the best value chamber music courses for the following instruments: piano, harpsichord, violin, viola, cello, double bass, clarinet, oboe, cor anglais, flute, bassoon and brass instruments French horn, trumpet, trombone.
Fee structure; residential and non-residential rates
The course takes place over 5 days (3rd-7th August) with an optional extra discounted day prior to the Course proper. This course starts with registration from about 8.30am: playing and coaching as soon as players assemble.
The residential fees are based on a daily rate from the morning and include lunch, dinner, overnight bed and breakfast and morning and afternoon teas and coffees.
The non-residential fee runs from 9.00a.m. to the evening and includes lunch and dinner, and morning and afternoon teas and coffees.
The course ends with lunch on Friday 7th August.

Residential rates:
Full course - (not including optional extra day on 2nd August). £844.
Optional extra day 2nd August: £84. This time to include dinner, as well as bed and breakfast, use of all the musical facilities.
We have made a special arrangement to assist participants whose travel arrangements require it, or who wish to come during the afternoon by arrangement before the official start of the course to settle in, have the opportunity to play with colleagues as they arrive. The cost includes a sandwich for those arriving at lunchtime, dinner, bed and continental breakfast.
Non-residential rates:
Full Course (calculated as per calendar day). £527.
Optional extra day
Arrangements may be made for non-residential participants to come on the extra day on payment of a small charge to cover dinner. Please ask.
This includes, as for the residential rate above, the use of all facilities and opportunities to practice, play and meet other colleagues.
Financial Terms
Please apply on the application form (see under ‘application form’ on website). But please do not send any money with the application. A 30% deposit will be required but banking and payment details will be contained in the invoice that will be emailed or sent to you after our receipt of your application form.
If you are unable to attend a booked course, the following cancellation fees will be retained/payable:
Prior to 31st May £10 per day
1st June to 1st July £50 per day
After 1st July: £100 per day
