"We wanted to thank you for the fabulous Course. We had a truly wonderful time and every session was absolutely delightful with such lovely people to work with and inspirational coaches throughout. The coaching we had from Elizabeth, Pal and Ofer was so meaningful and we are looking forward to "practicing it in"! We really hope that we will be able to come again next year and thank you so much for your generosity, energy and kindness in organising this very special Course."

"Dear Elizabeth I had a wonderful time at the course. It was so much more than I could have imagined. I want to thank you so much! What enormous hard work on your part and all the tutors. I really admire your project and your energy, kindness and patience. Thank you for all your help and encouragement in getting me there. I am forever in your debt! It was a big eye opener for me, feeling that happy playing again, after so many years! I am very inspired to start playing again and continue studying music and arts management. I have been practicing nearly every day since I got back. Shrewsbury was so motivating for me. There is such a big need for music where I live. I hope I can help to make a difference someday… PLEASE never get tired of doing what you do. It´s so valuable and important. I will never forget the feeling of community and belonging in a space where neither age, gender, walk of life or nationality exists, just the love of life and music. THANK YOU!"

"I just wanted to say a great big thank you to you both, and to all the tutors, for a wonderful and stimulating (if exhausting) week at Shrewsbury. It was everything I had hoped it would be, and more, and I'm sure that what I learned will have done a lot to further my progress on the long path to beautiful playing! Many congratulations to you all."

"Dear Elizabeth Once again we had a fantastic time. It was good to see such a varied programme of music on offer. You all work so hard to ensure that every single person has a rewarding and interesting time. We....have already been discussing possible projects and I do hope we'll all be able to come back next year. I hope you found the course as rewarding as we did."

"A very VERY special thank-you to Veronica, who moved heaven and earth to make the admin and logistics work so smoothly. She's a real asset to the course and a lovely person as well. You are a great team."

"I did enjoy Shrewsbury and I am grateful to you for making it possible for me to play in the Trout quintet and to organise such an excellent ensemble. Thanks also for the many suggestions of ways to cope with the technical challenges of the work. It was also valuable to spend time on Beethoven Op 69. With your help I think that we made some real progress on this."

"Dear Elizabeth, I just wanted to let you know how much I thoroughly enjoyed the Shrewsbury week - it was quite possibly the highlight of my year so far. Most significantly, I realised that I had been learning the cello pretty much in isolation and one of the loveliest things for me was connecting with other musicians and comparing notes with other cellists,....I am now reliving all the wonderful memories of the week and enjoying a renewed energy and focus for the part music plays in my life. In fact, I have made a conscious decision to put playing the cello at the centre of my world from now onwards.

I would also like to add how much a enjoyed Edwina's teaching - the interpretative aspects were fascinating and I found her warmth and patience with everyone as well as her ability to choose suitable pieces to play, a complete joy and extremely beneficial. Similarly, my time spent with Pal Banda (as well as Rachel, Tom and Deborah) was especially memorable. Pal Banda's comments to me warmed my heart!

Please put me down for next year - I shall be making it a priority and hopefully will return bowing with aplomb!"

Warmest regards,
SK.

"As soon as I arrived home I had to put pen to paper. Thank you for a most wonderful week. You gave us some beautiful music to play and with Tony, Peter and John to help and guide us, it has been amazing. I have come away with all sorts of ideas to try, technical issues to address and new music – and made new friends"
